*"It was a unique experience working with people from art and other areas* *to make a movie about my research. I learned a lot how to explain my research* *in an interesting way.* *Also, it can show the uncommon beauty of this research area* *more to the public."*

**The reseach project**

Most of real-world problems can be reduced to some mathematical function. Initially, these functions can not be computed in a reasonable time or space. For example, it can take years to be computed. Our field of study tries to use different mathematical theories to compute these functions efficiently. Our research area has a direct influence on real-world applications. Particularly, my work is to solve the big equations from different disciplines by applying the combinatorial methods (combinatorial scientific computing). Despite its importance, this field is less known to the public. A video may be an essential tool to promote this knowledge.
