Young researchers should be aware of predatory journals

Currently, there is widespread news about so-called predatory journals that publish without serious peer-review processes. Their business model is based on publishing for fees.

Especially young researchers who experience strong pressure to publish, may be at risk not to unveil these offers. Therefore they should double check all journals in which they want to publish. For orientation, there are lists of possible predatory journals available, e.g. the Beall's list.
