New event: Alternative career paths for natural and life scientists

As doctoral candidates and postdocs you are at some point facing the question how to shape your career. For career paths outside academia, there is often a lack of ideas and role models. Therefor we want to show you that there are more possibilities than you might think.

To inspire your thoughts, we invited natural and life scientists who started to work in different fields outside academia after completing their PhD. They are going to talk about their current job and how they managed to find and pursue their individual career path. What does it mean to be a patent attorney? And how can biological expertise be useful for someone supporting application procedures for professorships?
