How frequent are planets around very hot and cold stars?

Silvia Sabotta

"Is life in our universe rare or very frequent and how planets form, are two of the fundamental questions of humanity. With this film, I want to communicate my research understandably. I hope it will raise interest and excitement for exoplanet research."

The research project

How frequent are planets around very hot and cold stars? With this knowledge theoreticians can check if their theories how planets form are consitent with reality. We want to provide the necessary observational data with the help of the two 2m telescopes, in Tautenburg in Ondrejov (Czech Republic) and with the ultramodern instrument CARMENES in Spain.
