With our event "Paths to a professorship - experience reports of newly appointed professors", we would like to introduce individual career paths which could lead to a professorship. The career evening allows a view into personal experiences of newly appointed professors from University and University of Applied Sciences.

On 17 May, three speakers will talk about their personal career paths. Manja Marz is professor for Bioinformatics and High Throughput Analysis at Friedrich Schiller University. Also newly appointed at FSU is Alexander Gröschner. From April, he is holding the Chair of School Pedagogics and Didactics. Nicole Harth is professor for Social Psychology at Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena (University of Applied Sciences). The career evening will be moderated by Matthias Schwarzkopf who provides multifaceted expert knowledge as he was Appointment Commissioner at FSU and is currently career coach in the field of academia.

After the event, there is the possibility of a direct exchange with the speakers at a get-together including cold drinks and snacks. The event language will be German.
